Great Read on How to Lead and Love the Woman in your Life

This book absolutely resonates with me.
The first book I read from Bruce Bryans was What Women Want in a Man which included ten characteristics of a nice guy. I found myself in about six of them. I followed that first book with Hold onto Your Nuts (Wayne Levine) and No More Mr. Nice Guy (Robert Glover). Those three books alone were instrumental in changing how I carried myself — with wonderful results.
This book builds on what I have already learned and have experienced to be true. Some highlights for me:
Identifies the three main test: Congruence, Compliance, and Commitment. Reinforces the need for us men to be our own men by living by your own standards and principles. He also writes about leading through vulnerability but keeping in mind that men shouldn't lean on women before we have successfully and consistently demonstrated that we are worthy of her support.
I cannot recommend this book enough.

my initial reaction to this book was pretty negative-not because of the author's explanations as to why women test. (I thought those were pretty accurate) but because of the advice about how to respond to these tests. I guess I'm changing my review because I don't know how these tests should be handled and maybe he does. My ex used to always give in to me, would do anything to please me, and I thought I loved that about him but...he's an ex. Maybe these methods are better? Anyway the "why" behind female testing is explained very thoroughly and accurately. I also appreciate the sentiment that it's not our fault (entirely). it's really hard to know when you're testing a guy. It's true for me that I don't usually know I'm doing it til the conversations over.
