About the Author
Chris McIntyre went to Africa in 1987, after reading physics at Queen's College, Oxford. He taught with VSO in Zimbabwe for almost three years and travelled extensively, before co-authoring the UK's first guide to Namibia and Botswana for Bradt Travel Guides. He is now managing director of the specialist tour operator Expert Africa, and travels regularly to Africa, researching and updating his Bradt guides to Botswana, Zambia and Zanzibar, as well as Namibia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

Best guide for overlanding

This travel guide is well researched and very informative. I find Bradt to be the best guides for self planning trips/safaris and for overlanders. I appreciate that Bradt remembers the travelers that enjoy not only the big parks and lodges but also enjoy the hidden treasures like a community owned/run campsite and smaller parks.

seems pretty good, my interest is wildlife and I would have liked more detailed content on that.
HUGE mistake in one area - I bought the kindle version which should have been smart...guess what, you can't enlarge the included maps! At least, not any larger than the 5 or 6 font size choices you are given. So, if you are wanting to drill down into some detail, forget it!

Beautifully written and expressed with such detailed honesty and intrigue.... that allows the reader to be inspired by the life producing and diversified characters that inhabit ....this upper east side apartment habitat for the wealthy, I highly recommend acquiring Doorman Diaries and getting a glimpse of this inspiring account of people interacting on a daily basis in the Big Apple and a microcosm of how people live and interact admirably in the world's most famous skyscraper city.
