Scott is not a relationship guy. He knows it. April knows it. He won't ever be that guy, so it's not fair for him to get involved with April...and it's certainly not fair for her ten year old daughter Sid. The thing is, Scott loves his home. The home that he can't manage to stay at, but he shows his love by sharing his stories about it to Sid. She believes every word especially when it comes to the magic of wishes. This is a young girl who needs the magic of wishes to be real.

But for a couple of months Scott has to stay home to help out. That just happens to coincide with April needing help too, and Scott can't ignore a damsel in need. But it's temporary, and everyone is very clear on that...Sid, April, and Scott. No one can get settled into this situation. It's not going to last. (You can see how this is going to go, right?)

This book is about two people that are afraid to commit and one little girl who needs the stability of commitment more than anything. Over this series, I've fallen in love with the Standish clan. April and Sid add so much to this little family. Arden, the family patriarch, talks about the life Sid adds to the farm and I have to agree. That sweet little girl made this book. She was fabulous and I loved how strong her belief was. She just knew that if she wished hard enough that it would all work out.

At the same time, my heart broke for Scott. He's so messed up by all that he lost when he was a kid. There were moments when I just wanted to mourn for him...and I did shed a few tears over his realizations at the end. That scene between him and his Uncle Arden...PERFECTION!

April has her scars, too, but nothing ever wavers with her...her devotion to making sure her daughter knows she is loved and trying to do what's best for Sid. She hasn't had an easy time of it, but I loved that she's a chef and the whole April Dawn's story line and how it turned out to be such amazing quality time for the mother/daughter duo.

This whole series has been great. Norah Wilson is known for her amazing romantic suspense, but I'm here to tell you that her contemporary romance is just as good. Every single one of these three stories took on a completely different feel, but they were all amazingly good. I've fallen in love with this family and highly recommend the Standish Clan be added to your TBR.

One of the MOST BEAUTIFUL books I have EVER read!!

Oh WOW, I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about this book! This whole series is AMAZING and each book is so incredibly wonderful, I loved them all. I absolutely adored this story of April and Scott and Sid is the cutest kid. The chemistry jumps off the page and I just love this entire family. And the ending! Most beautiful, heart warming, tear jerking, happy, wonderful, amazing ending...LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I also love that this book had some heat, lots of romance, a little naughtiness, a bunch of sweetness, and was such a feel good story. I received an ARC copy of this book for my review and I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL about this book. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it for a wonderful read...but be prepared to not want to put it down! Happy reading!

I was actually looking for a Woman Of Destiny bible when I ordered this book. It was only when I received the book that I realised that I had ordered the wrong book. Now I know it was one of those moments where God thought this was just what I needed right now and as usual He was right. Loved the book from the moment I started to read it answerred alot of my unasked questions that I had been thinking about,(He knows our thoughts before we do) I just keep rereading it, it was surely the book for this time in my life right now. "WOMEN of DESTINY" by Cindy Jacobs
Disregard that this review is by the writers' father-in-law. This is a book that was a long time coming and covering a subject long over due. Not only should every woman read this, but men as well. I just couldn't put it down once I started reading.
Influence comes to our people in many ways and this book is one. As part of our sense of shared humanity, we instinctively try to motivate one another in hopes that the attempt will result in a blessing. All women won't be happy with this book and many men will blush with shame as they read this Bible based story.
I have known this author for over twenty-five years, read her first two books and am convinced that this is the best of the three.
Some people have the innate ability to lift our spirits, elevate our thoughts, instill in us a desire to reach new heights. Cindy Jacobs is one of those people. In my day, this was called leadership.
As you read how Christians climb the latter to the top, one rung at a time, you may see yourself in some of Cindy's trials and errors. By all means, read and enjoy.

Below Expectation

I guess I was the first person who bought your book “MCSA Microsoft Windows 8.1 Complete Study Guide”, in fact I completed reading the book and I would like to give you my feedback, there is no doubt that the author has excellent knowledge in Windows 8.1 based on his experience but he failed in delivering the information to the reader, he assume the reader is mastering windows 8.1 and this book just to refresh his knowledge, also I’ve noticed that he go in more details explaining the old concepts which was used in the previous Operation System but when it comes to new technology or new features in Windows 8.1 he don’t say much and I have to go to the internet to understand because the book did not say much or in other word is not clear, finally in some chapters instead of explaining the point the author confuse the reader.

I prefer to buy Sybex books, but this is the first time to encounter difficulty with Sybex Books, overall I don’t recommend this book.

Worthless for 70-689

While the information in-general is educational, the book was nearly worthless on the 70-689 test I took today. Many of the questions had the incorrect answer in the Appendix, and some of the presented answers were laughable ("Go have a beer and give it a while - geez" was an actual potential answer in this book). Ultimately, this was a waste of money.

I was looking to take the upgrade exam from Windows 7 to Windows 8 but there really aren't any study materials for that test. This may be a better book for someone just getting into desktops but I didn't find it too useful as prep material for the upgrade exam.
